MSU of course. For any real Gopher fan, it is not even in question. Sparty.

As Supadupafly said it would be tough for most Gopher fans to pull for Iowa I would think. I also think overall it is best for the conference if MSU wins because they are more equipped to deal with the other CFP teams. Iowa is really solid but I don't think they are on the same level as an Alabama or Oklahoma. Of the two I believe MSU would give the conference a better chance of having back to back National Champs.
 


I think the Big Ten looks tougher overall if MSU wins.
Iowa's season looks flukey so far. Close wins over MN and Wisc. Not great teams.

For some reason I think MSU has a better chance to win a national title than does Iowa.
Go Big Ten.

What's hard here is a Sparty win would be great. But watching an undefeated Squakeyes get plowed by Bama would be awesome too.
 

Is it possible to have anyone that votes for Iowa to be autobanned?
 

I will be watching with interest. Really didn't think Iowa was that good, but they sure surprised me. They may actually be better than MSU. I just want the B1G best representative in the playoff. As much as I want Iowa to lose, I want the SEC, to lose even more. If Iowa is our best bet, so be it. It'll make our revenge next year that much sweeter.

In the case of the National Championship I pull for the Big Ten team to come out on top, however if that Big Ten team was Iowa I don't think I could bring myself to do that. My goodness the horror of even considering Iowa standing there with the championship when the dust settles....think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

So yes it would be fun to watch them get decimated by Alabama on some level but I would much rather see the team with the best shot to win it for the conference and I really feel strongly that team is Michigan State.
 



Iowa. They're in our division. They're able to recruit to what should be the worst venue in the BiG. They have beaten us 20 of the last 30 times with less in-state talent and recruiting competition from another D1 program in a smaller state. They are obviously doing something better than we are and we should try to figure out what it is and fix it. Meanwhile, I admire their success and have no attachment to MSU.
 

MSU. I still think tOSU is the best team in the conference, but unless it's the Gophers are a decided underdog (often times those two are combined), I usually want the better team to win.
 

MSU, I like Dantonio and we don't have to live with Spartan fans or recruit against them very much.
 


If it were the Ohio State University I'd say go Iowa (yah that hurts...) but its refreshing to have a couple new teams there. See my signature for why I voted Mich St...
 

For the sake of future internal consistency, the answer is Iowa.

When Minnesota is 12-0 next year with a "soft" schedule I want to say..."hey, it was the same for Iowa last year."

Of course this opinion is best served by Iowa winning Saturday and beyond.

It is also best served by the Gophers being in the same position a year from now.

For the record only a crocodile tear for Iowa if they lose. Still savoring the beatdown from last year.
 

It would be fun to see the absolute beatdown of Hawkeye nation at the hands of Alabama. But I'd rather watch MSU beat Bama.

I'll never cheer for Iowa, period!
 

Anyone that thinks MSU is significantly better than Iowa is an idiot. The line on the game is like 3 points. Bama would smoke Sparty just as easily as they would Iowa.

If you just hate Iowa, fine. But to say you want MSU to win because they have a shot at winning the whole thing is beyond stupid. They would be just as much of a significant underdog against any of those teams as Iowa would.

The last time MSU played Bama they were 11-1 going into the game and lost 49-7. Get a clue, people. They lost to freaking Nebraska, for God's sake.
