Another day promised details and another day with nothing. Does anyone know when the Gophers are going to make a final decision on Royce White. It's starting to get a little annoying. When will this lab-top this be resolved, because I'm sure that is what's holding things up.
I don't care if they allow him to play or not, I just want answers. All this uncertainty isn't good for the team chemistry I can imagine.

Whew -- I was afraid we were going to have a whole day go by without a new thread on Royce White.

My good heavens, we wouldn't want a big fan annoyed and being uncertain. Quick, someone get on the phone to Joel and Tubby -- tell 'em they simply must make a decision. PDQ! Stat!!

Oh, my bad: big fan is actually just concerned about the team chemistry. Yeah, that's right: it's the team (s)he is worried about.

Exactly who promised details? A tweet from a local beat reporter or Tubby/Maturi? We'll know when we know.

100% absolutely agree. Rick Mons has every right to ignore the White posts, yet he feels compelled to plaster his ridiculous sarcasm to the thread. Thanks for destroying what was otherwise a good start to a thread.
 

White's status is on the minds of nearly every Gopher fan

yikes! posts like this take away from the purpose of these threads. why don't you just ignore BGF next time? i don't think i'm alone in saying that this is out of line.
BGF: like everyone said, be patient. I thought I heard there was going to be a final decision as well, but i guess not. i agree that it doesn't matter if he plays or not. i just wanna know whats going on too.

Poor move, Rick Mons. Lots of fans are interested in what's going on with Royce White, while I would guess that basically no one is interested in whatever running online feud you're continuing here.

Perhaps Burton34 could show me where it says I can't express an opinion in response to another post. Oh wait ... that's exactly what Burton34 did (twice).

Frankly, I think threads like this are just plain goofy and should be ridiculed. I'll probably "ruin" another similar thread in the future.

I'm back ... as we move into August, I find my interest in both the football and basketball seasons is coming out of a slumber. Snowmen are notorious for making themselves absent during the heated summer days out of pure self-existence.

So, while I would check in every week or so, I'll probably be visiting more frequently and even posting a bit as the days shorten and the seasons begin. I'm probably going to mostly limit my time and energy to the sports boards -- the off-topic board seems to have grown more and more toxic and less and less interesting.

But I have decided to retire my nom-de-keyboard (MNSnowman). There's several reasons but the primary reason is I've gotten tired of the "shoot and run" nature of the Internet. I think that the anonymity of the 'net has corroded the level of discussion and the way we interact with each other. It's easy to take a cheap shot at another person when you use a moniker and I've decided I'm going to be accountable for things that I write and express.

YMMV and I'm not asking anyone else to drop their moniker(s). But it just seems right for me to do so and to do it when I'm returning to a more active role on the board.

Another question, Is MnSnowman still the moderator for this board? It seems to say so in the bottom right-hand corner.

Rick Mons, had the thread stated, "please give your opinion about the on-going Royce White saga," than your message would have contributed to the thread. Although, the point of thread was seeking information and yet you chose to destroy it. Next time, just ignore any thread with the word "White" in it.

The reason, I gave my opinion was to try to get back to the topic of the thread. Can we just bury any bad or good feelings people have for Royce White threads and focus on facts? Truce? :)

What Rick Mons is trying to say is: As soon as we get official word, it will be announced in and at various sites, including the papers. Until then, threads asking about White are as exciting as sitting up all night listening to the grass grow.

You point fingers at me "stalking" and don't even know who I am. You stalk plenty of people on this board. You should look in the mirror and hold yourself accountable once!

Someone asked earlier in this post if you were the administrator of this board. I spoke with a couple people at the game today who informed me that you are the administrator of this board now. Is this true? If so, it is laughable as you obviously have little ability to be an unbiased "official" on this board and have far too many conflicts of interest!

By the way...who is ZTA? What is ZTA?

when a decision is made on Royce White? the decision will be made when its made. The guy is a complete pile of crap and the more distance between him and the program, the better.

I know some are saying a resolution to White's problems is imminent. But, I thought Tubby had made it clear that there will be no change until the suspended players have resolved all their transgressions. Clearly, in White's case, there is still an ongoing investigaton to be completed.
