for those of you that are concerned about the open end of the stadium affecting how loud the stadium will really be, I will say this. 2 days ago when Welcome Week had all the incoming freshman, about 5k (half the size of the student section) make an "M" on the field, they also were taught cheers. The yelling and cheering I heard from my house 2 blocks down row from just 5k students was impressive. I heard it over the tv and they weren't even cheering in a game situation. Sept 12th will be deafening, I guarantee it!

Which way is the Open End facing? Please tell me it's away from where the wind normally blows.......

it is. stadium opening faces west, wind usually blows west to east
