Which road game are you going to?

Me too. I hope that the outcome is different than last time. Go Gophers!
Interesting. One could fly into Calgary, AB hang out for a couple of days (Banff) and then fly into San Francisco. Did that once. It was cheaper than a direct flight. The flight to Calgary was only like an hour and a half. Even just going to Canmore and back to Calgary is worth it.

I’ll be at the Shoe as my son is going to school there. Wants me to come to the game! I’m in!
Same with me. My son will be a freshman at OSU and Family Weekend is conveniently against the Gophers. I told him I’ll pay for his school but I’m not wearing any Buckeye shit to that game. Only Maroon and Gold for this boat rower!

My retired, very bored, and once a year Gopher game attending buddy informs me that we have an airbnb booked that is located 1.6 miles from the Cal stadium entrance. I haven't asked, but I'll bet he would know the BART fare from the Oakland and SF airports to the closest Berkeley stop. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have an organized friend.

You’re having better luck than me. Last fall as soon as the Cal game was announced, I booked a room in a motel within walking distance of the stadium. Since I booked a year in advance, last week I thought to confirm the reservations, went online and there was no record of the reservation. Turned out the motel changed ownership and hotel affiliation, and the reservations got lost in the transition, and now they don’t have any rooms left. I quickly found a room 30 miles north in Vajello, which is half way to Napa. So now we’re going to some wineries!

Creative Charters. Winery tours. Trip to west coast Oregon. Close in hotel. Transport to/from game. Purchased my Oregon tickets yesterday from the U.

Probably northwestern

In 2023 I missed the game at Iowa in the first time in forever and we won. Making me realize I was the problem. I’ll never go back
Looks like we gotta wait til mid July to get the NW tickets. I’ll go to that game but the 128 dollar IA ticket price - well, I’ll get those elsewhere for less.

Going to Oregon! Booked an Airbnb in Eugene. Not a lot of great hotel options in Eugene
Agree not a lot of great hotel options, The Gordon, Fifth Street, Graduate, and Hyatt are probably the best. When going to the game check out the bus shuttle service, it's the best way to get to the games without a lot of parking hassle.

While in Eugene, check out the athletic facilities, I've included pics of the track and field and basketball facilities which are located on campus. Autzen is across the Willamette River from campus, baseball and soccer facilites are located near Autzen. Also, the new (second) indoor football facility should be completed later this summer.

November 14th hopefully will be a 1 PM start. Weather that time of year is a bit cold by our standards, typically mid 50s during the day. Probably grey sky and high humidity. Of course, as you will learn "It NEVER rains at Autzen" :)

Fifth Street Public Market can be a good place to get a feel for Eugene, Lane County Farmers Market is a good venue as well, however, November is a little late in the growing season, still it can be a good place to check out.

Of course, the local wineries are quiet good, especially if you like a good Pinot Noir. Check out Broadley, Benton Lane or King Estates, all are a short drive out of Eugene. If you just want to find a good Oregon Pinot, stop by Broadway Wine Merchants, you'll get excellent help finding something you like.

Wish everyone a great trip and enjoy your stay..... up until kickoff ;) then game's on.

OK, I live out of state so the Buffalo game is "away" for me. I just learned that I will be attending. The wife noted that we have a buy one get one ticket on Delta. It has to used by Aug 31, so our choices were limited. After thinking about it, I believe that her logic is two-fold, and it's not that she's sensitive to me being a Gopher fan: 1) we have limited time to use the ticket, 2) she feels a bit guilty for not visiting my family for a couple of years. In that sense, I don't care, Go Gophers!

Oregon for me. Was gonna try to do Cal but had to prioritize checking off another big ten stadium.
