Definitely seems a little too quiet at the moment. Hopefully that means we are close to a hire.
We can only hope.

If we don't hear something in the next 24 hours than I seriously think Nadine's source was blowing smoke. All the other Alleged Sources are crap to me. The only source I will give the benefit of the doubt to his Nadine's source....but I don't think its looking good right now.
It could have been true at that time, but things change. It ain't over til it's over.
It's beginning to look like Teague really did make a blind fire.
It hasn't even been 36 hours. Many teams are still playing. Let's keep it together.
Many feel Shaka was the hire.....that's what they wanted for Tubby's head. Now worrying that will not happen....failure for Shaka.
Dude you need to get a life. You are on here every second of the day complaining about the move to fire Tubby. Get over it. Either get on board with the move and hope for the best or go support Tubby's new team. Or at least stop posting here.
What????
Yea come on bro don't be disrespecting this thread.
"Although I'm not "in the know," I've been given indications that there will be a major announcement in the next day or two."
That was in an email I just got from the pep band director, saying that we, the pep band, might have to attend and play at a press conference sometime soon.
I actually believe this.
My take - you don't make a move like this (firing Tubby) without having a pretty damn good idea that you have a replacement lined up in your back pocket.
If the U fired Tubby without a replacement in line, they wind up as the laughing stock of College BB. I don't see Teague taking that kind of a risk - he doesn't strike me as a gambler. I hope that Teague or Ellis had some kind of a verbal, off-the-books agreement in hand before the firing was announced.
If it turns out that they fired Tubby without a succession plan in place, then Teague is going to be on a nuclear hot seat with the fans and media. I just don't see him taking that kind of a risk. It would be Joel Maturi II - and Teague runs the risk of losing the fans (and boosters) with his 1st big move.
Looks like, barring a miracle, having the big announcement today isn't going to happen. Darn.
Thought I'd push this thread back to the front to show how everyone was voting a week ago.
