...I was thinking here we go again. Somehow they figured them out and took care of business when it mattered-- the 4th quarter. Bennett and Hoese really punished those guys.

Adjustments

I'll say one thing for Cosgrove and company; most of last year, it seemed like his defense made really good halftime adjustments, a good barometer for how good any coach is.

MTSU averaged 30 points a game last year and scored 3 points in the second half, on their home field. Not too shabby.

Bennett and Hoese were awesome. Harder to tell but Wills certainly made some nice plays.

I also agree about Cosgrove. The defense did make some effective adjustments.

Throughout the game I was impressed by how they stuck with the game plan. Other than Hoese's catch, we really didn't need big passing plays in pressure situations. That is definitely a departure from last year. Every player will make mistakes or get tricked, the good ones learn from it.

On our last TD drive, didn't McKnight have a clutch catch on 3rd and long to keep the drive alive?
