Hey, if you're a purist, then go watch a D3 game.
I am not putting down D3. I watch some D3 games online and they are fun to watch. The point is that D3 is "pure" college Football. No scholarships - no TV contracts - no NIL deals - no star players skipping the bowl game to prepare for the NFL draft.
just real student-athletes playing football. and after they graduate, virtually all of the players will go on to get full-time jobs that are not sports-related.
D2 is a little more 'big-time,' but it still avoids most of the perceived problems with D1 power-5 football.
so if the money aspect of college football has turned you off, find a D2 or D3 team in your area and 'adopt' them. a lot of D2 and D3 teams have free streaming video feeds.
now, if my Auggies can just play some defense............
