What is the beef with Maturi?

i looked it up for another thread, the only successful semi mainstream programs we've had have been coached by people Maturi did not hire. the only one he did was womens hockey, and then that guy had been around the team for a while. Tubby hired maturi. so that doesnt count.

the guy is a horrible coaching evaluator.

Not only will I give Maturi very little credit for hiring Tubby, I'll also wonder how much more successful Tubby would be if Maturi had 1) allowed Tubby to hire the assistants he wanted 2) not suspended a player who hadn't been convicted of any crime for an entire season.

We've won NOTHING in either football or basketball in Maturi's 8 years.

I could go on, but I find it sad that this question is asked, like we should expect the type of results that have occurred during Maturi's tenure.

Nothing has occurred in anyone's tenure in the two main sports. Tubby Smith is the closest thing to greatness and he is the best chance we have at greatness.
