What happens to Brew if Iowa State blows us out?

I laugh a whole bunch.

That happens if you blow them out too though. This bowl is basically guaranteed to make me happy.

well, at least you finally came out and admit you are nothing but another iowee hogeye troll who likes to spend a lot of time on gopherhole. your little "i am just an objective gophers fan" charade that you were trying to put on before was very weak.

People, people, people, Iowa State beat one team this year with a winning record. Nebraska, a good team mind you but they (Nebraska) committed 8 turnovers during the contest and Iowa State managed a 9 to 7, or something like that, victory. Their other five victories came against NDSU who went 3 and 8, Kent State who went 5 and 7, Army who went 5 and 7, Baylor who went 4 and 8 and Colorado who went 3 and 9. Now, they could beat us but blow us out, no way. If there is a blow out that just means our Gopher offense plays a good game.

wow! you aren't wasting anytime getting booted from GH are you? a whole five posts in and they are all nothing but the posts of a flaming troll. at least try to hide your trollishness a little bit rather than diving right into the deep end. you have a lot to learn.

yawn......

sure you didn't pig lover........sure you didn't

Haha, okay, if it makes you feel good to play detective and pretend you smoked out the secret Iowa fan in your midst go ahead. It must have been pretty hard with me making multiple posts about cheering for and attending Iowa. Nice job, Mr. Holmes.

Brewster will go home and finish up his 2010 recruiting class and plan for the upcoming season....and listen to the pundits and fans bitch for a month.

The Cyclones have over achieved this year; especially for a team that has had 3 head coaches in 4 years. These kids have been through a lot and I couldn't be happier for them.

Again, I don't see there being a blowout in either direction in this game. A few things to consider regarding ISU's loses. First, if we are going to discount the Nebraska game because of 8 turnovers; then let's be fair and say the game against Iowa (10-2) is would be closer if we didn't turn it over 6 times.

We lost a heart breaker by one point to KSU (6-6) in KC. I game we seemed to have control of until two costly fumbles in the second half led to quick KSU scores. We had a PAT blocked to end the game and this got into our kickers head.

As a result, he missed two PATS and a FG (IIRC) in the loss to KU (5-7). We may have even gone for two once of twice and missed it. Anyway, ISU lost by 5 in a shoot-out and had our usually VERY reliable kicker made his kicks we would have had enough points to win.

TA&M (6-6) had the #1 offense in the country and couldn't be beat at hope, until Texas was able to slip past them. We were without our starting QB and RB and started RSFr tandem again from the Nebraska game. We got whipped at Kyle Field.

OSU (9-3) came to town and ran all over us. We struggled with very good spread teams.

The game at Mizzou (8-4) was close and we led into the 3rd quarter, but as I said very good spread teams were tough for us this year. We gave up a couple of big offense plays in this game, something that this defense didn't do all year.

For the most part, the Cyclones beat the teams we were supposed to and lost to the best teams they played. There are a few exceptions: Nebraska isn't a game we should have won, but did. The KSU is a game that slipped away on a neutral field. Some argued if we had kept it at home, instead of arrowhead, we would have won. In hindsight, the KU game is the one that hurts more. We exposed their defense and were ultimately their only conference win this year.

Again, I expect to see a competitive game. The Cyclones have over achieved this year; especially for a team that has had 3 head coaches in 4 years.

I don't think ISU's offense is good enough to blow anyone out, especially since the Gopher D is playing well. I could see 20-0 or something like that, if you consider that a blow-out. In reality that would be the worst-case for Brew, is the offense not scoring a TD again.

The Cyclone offense has been at its best when healthy. Like Minnesota's loss of Decker; ISU lost our starting QB for 2 full games, after going out injured in the second half of the Baylor game. He played hurt in a couple more games. There were rumors that his bruised hand was actually broken.

Our starting RB led the conference in rushing for most of the year and finished with 1000+ yards for the season, despite missing 2+ games and playing hurt in a couple of others. These two finally be close to 100% healthy at the same time again since the 3rd game of the season. We also lost a 4* WR to a broken leg, in the 4th(?) week, for the season and he will not be back until next season.

We are getting our starting NB (and backup CB) for the bowl and a few others on defense are healing. Our starting DE has been out, with a broken leg, since the Army game.
