What grade would you give the Gophers offense?

Love this lol...the ultimate middle finger to the people wearing the maroon and gold glasses and can't see the deficiencies of this offense lol

Straight D...although the go ahead catch in the 4th quarter was an A.

I went with a C. The offense did very well on the final TD drive. Also, Smith and Woli had good games.

First half - F-
2nd half - C

They created 5 turnovers .. It's a b- for me

....o crap I read defense ... C for offense

C+ They were really awful at first and had numerous blown plays and opportunities, but they ended up with 413 yards. They averaged only 357 per game last year.

The finger right back to anyone wanting the team to struggle. A lot of us have multiple concerns about the offense, but we are not classless enough to enjoy it because we think it is a mark of brilliance.

It was clearly a D. They are not using the talent they have. 21 carries for a tailback is again a failure. To lineup in the gun alone to allow 5 receivers is a waste of a down. Chances of a completion or straight run are yielding minimal yards, and the QB becomes a statute as a target. Mitch is at best a 50% thrower and we give him 45 attempts.

This design by Coach Limegrover needs to tweaked. I would like to see 25-35 carries for Rodney Smith. And I would like to see more runs from the I. Mitch or Strevler should be use as the counter to Smith. Total runs 55. Now throwing the ball, restrict the number to 20 or less. Make them count.

I know everyone likes a balanced attack, but its too much passing and not enough runs.

We aren't running the ball enough. We aren't throwing enough short passes. Nonetheless, we put up over 400 yards and won the damn game. A C is more than fair. A D is ridiculous and an F is laughably stupid.

F for sure- - I thought not seeing the Jet Sweep against TCU was because of TCU's speed. Not sure why that has not been used nor do I recall seeing a screen pass today either. The O-Line was suppose to be a strength because of experience and depth but for some reason one or two guys get nicked up and now the rest of them look like they have never blocked before

D. Still got the job done but looked terribly ugly. Smith was doing good things. Receivers were dropping too many passes. And Leidner made a bunch of poor decisions.

Agreed. In terms of yardage, they were well above last season's average per game yesterday.

Some people keep harping on the play calling and Leidner's inadequacies but the offensive line's performance deserved as much blame as anything else for the problems yesterday. Leidner looked great and the play callling looked terrific when the line was protecting the QB and opening up holes during the late touchdown drive.

There were multiple screen passes. Wolitarsky's touchdown was on a screen pass.

Winning ugly, playing physically and having a little luck are KEYS MOST improving football teams utilize to their advantage. JUST get wins...wins help...ANY kind of loss hurts. Beat the stinking badger, Gopher. The madness HAS to end in 2015.

With all the offensive foibles yesterday coupled with bad calls that almost caused the Gophers the game, we can't overlook that ML passed for over 200 yards, Rodney Smith ran for 100+ yards, and Drew Woli caught passes for 100+ yards.

D.

If the offense only shows up for half of a game.......it's not going to be a successful season.

F for the first half. B for the second.

I would have gone with C- overall if that was an option.

I would agree with this. Although if it was 1975 and a C was average still...then it'd be a D

I'll give them a C- only because they did come through when it counted most

However, the passing game is woeful and once again holding the team back

Overall C+ because they found a way to win in the second half. First half was difficult to watch.

Incomplete

We might find out we beat a very good team on the road
