I think it depends on which QB is anticipated playing for NE

If it’s backup could be 9-13 range

If it’s starter probably MN -2–4 range

I agree Thompson gives NE best chance to win. He still makes horrible decisions and Nubin stands a good chance of adding to his INT totals.

From what I've read, I doubt Thompson plays next week.

Nebraska has one offensive play, chuck it deep to Palmer. If you take that away they have next to nothing on offense.

As for the line. Assume it will be us by a few points but if Thompson is out that line could go up since their backups are not good.

He got hurt and the wheels fell off. I think a hand injury while throwing?

According to Sagarin, the spread would be MN-5 to 7.
I watched the game and in the first quarter, I thought NE was going to pull off an upset. NE's defense was ferocious and NE was actually ahead.
Then the NE QB's arm was hit while he throwing in the second quarter and he threw an interception that was returned to the NE 10. The nerves in the QB's elbow were hurt and he could not feel his hand so he was taken out.
The NE backup QBs were a disaster and even though the NE defense played hard they were put in bad situations because of turnovers.
If Patterson cannot play the game may be taken off.
Even if he does not play the NE defense will give MN all they can handle.
