49,112 announced.

What does that translate to for actual attendance (scanned tickets) ?? I'm certain this number is not publicly available, and might be slightly embarrassing relative to the announced attendance (sold tickets).

There were people all over the stadium, in all sections. But if you zoomed in on any section, there seemed to be quite a bit of open seats sprinkled throughout the people.

I'm going to guess there were 35k people who came into the stadium. Which would be about 70% of capacity.

I would say it was close to 40K, so around 10K open seats. Lots of SDSU fans. Upper deck on home side between the 20s was very spotty, lots of open seats sprinkled throughout.

I give the attendance the letter test. If 15 min. after kickoff you can read MINNESOTA in the seats; not Good.

That’s probably a better guess. About 80% of tickets sold. Which I’m guessing is pretty good!
