I see lots of dislike for Wisconsin on these threads, but I have long held Iowa as my least favorite. What is your least favorite and why?

I left Rutgers and Maryland off the poll since you can't possibly hate them yet!

I was quite correctly brought up to detest both Wisconsin and Iowa. And I still do. But I kind of have a reluctant admiration for Wisconsin at the same time. Because I feel nothing besides loathing toward the Hawkeyes, I voted for Iowa.

It was a tough choice but Wisconsin by a whisker. If we were to keep the Axe for a few years, it might shift to Iowa, but lately the Wisconsin fans have become insufferable.

Who on earth voted for Indiana? Gotta imagine that's an accident

Living in enemy territory it is easily the Hawkeyes for me. The fanbase is clueless, one would think they were a historical national powerhouse if you were to buy into their self inflated hype. They think they are just better than the Gophers because they had a good run against them here the last decade. Wisconsin is a close second, I grew up in the cities and understand that rivalry as well, but living in Iowa amongst the fanbase makes me despise U of Iowa.

Was in a hurry and wanted to vote Iowa - I whiffed!

However, Indiana is embarrassing, but not worth hating. Iwoa is obnoxious and embarrassing.

I actually do hate them or at least the fact that Delaney let them in.

No one makes my blood boil like a wisconsin fan. I swear I am like a bull in Spain, whenever I see some dope sporting a red W, I just want to fight them and call them names.

Wisconsin and it's not close, Iowa is a distant second. They are an annoyance in football, but outside of that they are irrelevant to me. Wisconsin is a deep hate that spreads to basketball, hockey, and pro sports for me.

Wisconsin by far. Mostly due to their obnoxious fans. I don't get that vibe from Iowa fans.

Being from the east metro - Wisconsin. Never got too boiled up over Iowa.

Wow, I thought it would be closer than this! Hayden Fry and his pink locker rooms must not have the effect they used to.

Easy for me (and looks like I'm alone thusfar), Nebraska. I hated them when they were in the B12 and even more now. .

You don't even need to ask that question. Becky. Better dead than red

I'm surprised there are less Penn State votes. Seemed like they were the universally agreed upon, most hated team in the conference just two years ago.

if wisconsin only had its football team and coaches

but they have their fans and oh how those obnoxious cousins over there get. they just need to stop kissing first cousins and Cows (in some families those are the same) and learn how to be football fans. heck they only have Packer fans to learn from so its hard to blame them

I hope when the Gophers win 12 years in a row that the fans over there take note at how to act by our example

I don't know, if we beat wisconsin 12 years in a row I'm probably going to be an arrogant pr!ck towards them.

This thread is embarrassing and highlights an inferiority complex toward Wisconsin. Please delete it.

There is a reason we wore "better dead than RED" 94 East T-shirts as students. Especially because of all the Wisconsin D's that wore Wisconsin shirts on campus. I dislike all things Badger.

I am with YouBaxter...Nebraska second to none. I hate them more than any school in the country and have for the pay 25 years. Unfortunately, I now live in Nebraska and it hasn't helped. They are the most arrogant football fans in the world.

After scanning most of your posts, are you sure your real name isn't Mr. Badger?

I don't hate any Big10 schools. I reserve that emotion for people trying to destroy our country and for our politicians who abet them. As for liking the other Big10 schools, I like WI best. I like their style of play in football (similar to the Gophers with emphasis on rushing) and basketball (with emphasis on team play, good passing, four-year recruits.) I like the atmosphere of Camp Randall with its brats stands and the focus of a no pro-sport town. I like the way they developed from a bottom-tier conference team to a national power. It gives me hope that UM can do the same (and that seems to be happening in football here).

If you combined all the zeal of the fans of the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Wild, Lynx, Gopher Hockey, and Cabins-up-North, you'd have what the Cornhuskers football team enjoys. No reason to be surprised that fans there follow their team so avidly -- ss fans here did before the arrival of the pro sports.

Any school that has red as their primary color...

Wisconsin, Ohio State, Nebraska, Alabama, Oklahoma, etc... Indeed, the phrase "Better dead than Red" applies to all.
