We need a legit one and two. Love Brockington, but to me he appears to be best suited as a third option, ala Chris Autman-Bell when he worked with Bateman and Johnson in 2019. We’ve got a lot of guys who could be one and two: time will tell who steps up. I think WR play will be the critical determinant in the Gophers advancing beyond 6-7 wins in 2025.

A new QB and an unknown WR lineup give us a lot to look forward to.

Well it’s pretty unlikely that we have anyone of the caliber of Bateman and Tyler Johnson right now, but if we have two that are better than Brockington then we’re in decent shape, because I think Brockington is pretty solid. Loya has had a solid career and the coaches seemed to give Driver a fair amount of opportunities last year. But I think if we are going to see a true alpha #1 type wr this year it’s going to have to be Tracy making a big step up, or Lanier or Coleman bursting onto the scene. I’m not super confident that we’ll have that type of guy this year, but there’s a chance, the opportunity will be there.
