What a rotten tweet by Doogie

Indiana, overrated. Based on what?!? Well, based on their performance, they're a legitimate top ten team. What can you base this on other than the way a team has played?!?!?

Some people...

My bad. Thought you were just trying to downplay the win. Not letting anyone spoil the win for me.

He was downplaying the win if the team you just beat is "way overrated". Then he tries to cover his a** by saying....umm, umm...I mean Wisconsin win was bigger, that's all.

I'm actually with Doogie on this one. It's not a knock on the IU win, but the win at the Kohl Center a couple years ago was still a bigger win to me, given their ridiculous record at home, being a rival, etc. Let's not be so sensitive.

It's Sports Illustrated's fault. They just had a big feature on Indiana - gloating at its resurgance!

Can we trade it in?

Can we trade this big win against a quality opponent in for the losses we had to Purdue, Michigan, Iowa, and Illinois? These are the kind of wins that are great because you do beat a top team but doesnt it make you wonder why the heck we didnt play better or finish against teams not as good? We lost close games to 4 teams that IMO we can or should be able to beat and couldnt finish yet we win against one of the top 10 ranked teams in the country. Great win dont get me wrong but where is the focus against the teams we are equal to in ability or better than?

We've shown we have the talent to play with anyone in the conference, so I expect to see a strong finish. I don't think we have a game on our schedule tougher than at Indiana.

A win against any team ranked #8 in the country is huge, but doesn't make a season. Learn from it, build on it, and go from there. Loved that it was mostly the young guys on the floor at the end of the game, huge upsides for them. Same guys that will still be there when Tyus puts on the maroon and gold for the first time. :)

I like it!!

The local sports media are the Debbie Downers of all sports outlets. They look for flaws in everything instead of just taking away what it is...a victory who hadn't lost at home and who knocked off #1 and #2 there. Go Gophers.

Because they both come off as non-gopher fans and downplay and make excuses for anything that goes well for the team?

+1

Looks like all the crying Doogie did about lack of road games didn't hurt us ON THE ROAD VS A TOP TEN TEAM!

+1. I have a lot of respect for Doogie coming on here and defending himself against the angry mob. My adrenaline's pumping too much to think about this win as anything less than massive, though.

I've always said that I love coming on here. I'd rather be around a super passionate fan base than an apathetic one. I just have never gotten the personal shots, but if you want to attack my take that the Wisconsin win was bigger, by all means, go for it... or that I think Indiana is "way overrated" go for it. I like the back-and-forth.

Can't stress enough though that just because I think the Wis. win was bigger doesn't take away from last night. I thought Tubby played his cards perfectly with the starting lineup, and was a master at strategically using his timeouts in the 2nd half. Also helped that Indiana missed at least 5 wide open 3-pointers. It often comes down to just making shots.

It appears as if Doogie is making himself pretty clear. He acknowledges that last night was a big time win. He happens to think the UW game was bigger but doesn't take anything away from last night's win. I'm not sure I agree with him that the UW game was bigger, but I'm not sure what the discontent is here. We're all in agreement that beating a Top 10 team on the road is big time.

Go Gophers!!

Tubby's biggest was vs. Purdue in the conference tournament, was it not?
