The Badgers really aren't that good and haven't beaten anybody all year to warrant a tourney resume. Unfortunately the Gophers aren't much better as we can't hit a jump shot outside 8 feet.

But man it's fun to watch Laurence drive to the hoop in the two games against the Badgers this year.

That's very Grier-esque circa 2004!

ah yes Clayton Hansen trying to guard Vincent Grier. Only two home losses this year to Sparty and Purdue. I would say with Royce White and Co. were coming.

I was so pumped watching Westbrook save our season tonight! That was the very definition of a clutch performance. Magic, Michael, pick your favorite...nobody could have done it any better (though they probably could have done it the same) in the last few minutes of this game. Westbrook hit every clutch shot and nailed all those big free throws and was the only one scoring.

Lawrence was the MAN tonight!

Magic....Michael......Westbrook???

Lets not go overboard.

That being said - Westbrook will always be remembered for stealing 2 games against a Wisconsin tournament team - and that's no small feat.

Now - we just need to get some shooters.

Not going overboard at all. My point was he was perfect in those last 2 minutes, you can't put on a performance that is any better than that.

Also, we didn't "steal" either game against Wisconsin. We outplayed them in both games...they would have "stolen" a game if they won either of those ballgames.

Agreed regarding last night. UM led for the majority of the game, save for UW's run to take a lead late, but UM executed better down the stretch and deserved to win.

In Madison, if you recall, UM made a couple shots early and were up 10-2 after about three minutes. UW was up by 10 with four minutes to go, meaning UW outscored UM by 18 over the vast majority of the game. Not sure UW holding on in that one would have been a steal for the Badgers.

UW's had major issues holding leads this season (at Marq, Texas, Minnesota, at Iowa, at Northwestern, Purdue, at Michigan St., at Minnesota), but last night was particularly tough given that you'd like to see improvement over the course of the season. That said, Minnesota kept fighting and made the big plays when it mattered most. Congrats on the win, and good luck in the NCAA tournament. I hope we get another matchup in the 4/5 game of the BTT.

Dont be silly. LW cant play. Neither can Johnson.

They have their moments don't they ? Thank God for Tubby Smith and his coaching.

UWOle has it right! A 3rd game between Goldy and Bucky in 2008/2009 seson would be outta sight. Inform the refs to get out of the way cuz that match up would have Bo and Tubby pulling every scheme they know of to produce a W.

Yes, sure do. LW averages in double figures in the Big 10. Quite a few moments, wouldnt you say?

Johnson's last two offensive performances have been pretty impressive.

Without LW and DJ last night and the first Wisky game, the W-L results may have been quite different.

Agreed. It's unfortunate that they, or the other Monson recruits, didn't show up in many other games this season. Imagine our W-L record if they had.

Exactly. Westbrook was amazing in the two UW games. "Interesting" how zTTa didn't come touting Westbrook with his passive/aggressive tone when he blew the last few minutes of the Illinois game with him forgetting the shot clock was about to expire, forcing bad shots and so on. But hey, when you are the self-proclaimed smartest man on the board, it doesn't matter. Toro/Superstar/zTTa only touts DJ and Westy after big wins. We are all on to it.

That truly shows how little you know. Try again.
