Hold Taylor down and MINNESOTA. The FOX Sports crew doesn’t think we can.

Well said. The box score doesn't support the idea that the Gophers looked bad defensively today. Only 222 total yards for the Cats. Only one big play, in semi-garbage time. They didn't dominate anymore once the other QB came in, but it was hardly a sieve out there.
 

One thing has to change next week: we continually have to drive ten more yards than our opponents to score. This is massive over the course of a game.

A few blips here and there over the course of a season is one thing; what has happened with Gopher special teams literally all season long is just plain off-the-charts awful and really inexcusable for a team of this caliber.
 

I got ripped for saying our special teams is awful. I said this from day one. I’ll continue to say our special teams is awful. Our coverage is awful and the kicker can’t kick the ball further then the 20 yard line. It would take a class 5 hurricane or divine intervention to get the ball into the endzone.

Not only can the gophers not kick past the 20, they still look so unbelievably slow getting down to cover (should not be possible with how short and I guess maybe not(?) high the kicks are)

Certainly hoping that we can bottle up Taylor, but it looks like weather might be a huge part of things if we're in the midst of a blizzard on Saturday afternoon like the forecast shows.

I know it's a long way off, but it's something to keep an eye on. Weather might impact this next game in a big way.
