Yeah, defenses were impressive but neither of those teams could do anything through the air. PSU backup did not look good and Iowa's passing game is non-existent. Gronowski can run, we will have to have a spy on him all game because Iowa doesn't look like they can beat you through the air.

That is why the Gophers have so much trouble with them. They are tough as hell, are incredibly focused and disciplined, and fight on every play. Always coordinated and bold on defense. Offense finds a way to score. Always seem to have a couple of guy we can’t account for. This year the name is Gronowski. Design a defense to his QB runs. Design a defense that doesn’t specifically account for him and lose.

We can beat Iowa, but only with another COMPLETE game—no confused, unprepared first quarter. All three phases must contribute positively—no special teams brain farts. Kirk always always always wins the field position battle with PJ. PJ’s 78% rule needs to be updated to include field position of offensive drive starts. Our punter has to change his best.

Go Gophers! You can do it.
