STrib chimes in:

11. Gophers (3-1, 1-0): As running game sputtered, coach P.J. Fleck put the ball in Drake Lindsey’s hands, and the redshirt freshman QB delivered a passing day of 31-for-41 for 324 yards and three TDs in a 31-28 win over Rutgers.

Ducks Wire chimes in:

12. Minnesota

Game Result: W 31-28 vs. Rutgers

Previous Ranking: 14

What's Next: at Ohio State

Analysis: Without star running back Darius Taylor for the second straight week, the burden fell on quarterback Drake Lindsey to lead the offense. The redshirt freshman was up to the task, completing 31 of 41 passes 324 yards for three touchdowns including the go-ahead score with under four minutes remaining. With a surging passing game and Taylor hopefully back soon, Minnesota can’t be overlooked in the Big Ten.
