Indiana and Michigan state are badly overrated:

Maryland I wouldn’t vote for but a couple of people having them 22-25 isn’t unreasonable

Minnesota’s most similar comparison in the poll might be Florida state. But Ohio state is better than notre dame. But Florida state is a better name than MN

Rankings are stupid and meaningless and made for TV until the final weeks of CFP selection. But yeah, I also like complaining about them lol...

Nice tOSU moved up a notch beating us. Honestly, not one vote? Come on, man.

It's spelled "Indinia"

This week's rankings are a great example of why early season rankings are meaningless due to poll momentum from preseason rankings. You have Indiana still receiving votes as high as 21st after getting destroyed, and UCLA going from getting 2 votes total to 16th after beating a team that was 16th, but now has no votes at all. Even Arizona gained votes after losing to unranked BYU (which also gained votes). These things tend to largely work themselves out as the season goes on, though I can't help but think the gophers would at least be ranked in the 20s after giving OSU a run for its money if it weren't for the preseason positioning.

Rutgers and Maryland ahead of the Gophers is a joke.

You might want to watch a Maryland game before making that remark. We're lucky to have Maryland at home this season. They have very good team speed and a mobile QB.
This is so true. Given the speed Maryland is going to put on the field, which we saw plenty of last year, that game is going to be a real challenge for the Gophers.

Also, they've given us a lot of trouble in recent years. A big play team.

If Georgia and Clemson are actually Top 10 teams this year we’re in for a very boring college football season.

Good grief.

MD has worse karma than the Gophs.

Have you forgotten the game we handed them last year due to our melted butter defense and even more dismal special teams play?

That game was in the win column, until it wasn't.
