Wolverines Wire first out of the gate:

11. Minnesota

Minnesota followed its inspired performance against Ohio State in Week 1 with a lackluster showing against a MAC team, Miami (OH). Treyson Potts was the star of the show replacing Mo Ibrahim’s production with 178 yards and 2 TDs but a one-possession game with Miami doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.

Go Gophers!!

Saturday Tradition chimes in:

8. Minnesota Golden Gophers (1-1)

Last week: vs. Miami (OH), 31-26 W

Minnesota’s performance was far from perfect. Like, really far. But the Gophers catch a little slack here because it was their first game without Mohamed Ibrahim. There are going to be some growing pains without the B1G Running Back of the Year in the lineup. One thing that is noticeable? Minnesota’s passing attack might be a real concern.

Up next: at Colorado

Go Gophers!!

Folks are going to pile on us because it's easy to justify. We saw the same in 2019 when we just barely got out of non-conference games 3-0.

I'm still confident this team has the tools to be in the running for the west come our final 3 games, but my confidence on whether they will pull together and perform at the level is a bit shaken.
