Week 12 Other Games Thread

I feel so bad for Texas because I like Strong.

But I feel so good for Kansas because as a Gopher fan, hey, I've been there.

Chattanooga playing the little engine that could right now. Up 3-0 on Alabama, got a stop, and now got another 1st down. I'll watch for a bit...

So as of the break,
Stanford leads Cal at the break 17-14.

Colorado is quietly one of the better teams, ranked 10, won another game.
Oregon took down No. 12 Utah, 30-18
Florida took care of business with LSU, 16-10.
Iowa State, coming in with just a couple wins, wrecked Texas Tech, 66-10.

In the Big Ten:
Michigan had a 20-10 win over Indiana but took them a long time to get going.
Ohio State edged Michigan State 17-16. Spartans might be having a bad year but they always play OSU well.

On another note, Western Michigan won again today, 38-0. So if they win their next game and the MAC championship, what happens? I mean, I think it would be a shame if WMU were to go undefeated, then win a bowl game, and never be in the discussion for the CFP.

Strong is probably fired at the airport, a la Layne Kiffin at USC.

Who would've thought Alabama - Chattanooga would be a better game than Oklahoma - WV? What a joke that one has been...

Their QB is really good. I remember they were demolishing Michigan before the QB got knocked out of the game. But I remember he came back for one more play - actually limped onto the field. And threw like a 60-yard TD pass. And then finally had to leave the game haha.

Yeah, he made them look silly. Nothing fluky about it and it was at the Big House.

West Virginia RB has 20 carries for 280 and they're losing by 28 to Oklahoma.

Ugly conditions to end the blowout game between Penn State and Rutgers. Nittany Lions won 39-0 in the rain and sleet. In the fourth quarter there was barely anybody left in the stands.

Another blowout was Washington defeating Arizona State, 44-18. With Louisville getting wrecked they should move up to a nicer spot in the rankings again.

West Virginia put on some points here in their game, but the Sooners look like they're about to finish things off.

So, I figure the top 10 will be:
1. Alabama
2. Michigan
3. Ohio State
4. Clemson
5. Washington
6. Oklahoma
7. Wisconsin
8. Penn State
9. Oklahoma State
10. Colorado

Catching USC vs UCLA as a nightcap, too. UCLA up 14-7 right now.

How did Colorado get this good this fast?

Read a nice article about their coach, I wish I could find it and link it. His dad was a coach and he led Vandy to their first bowl (long before Franklin). McIntyre then became a coach himself and rebuilt SAN Jose State before taking over Colorado.
