That is how I read it as well.

You can bet coaches around the country will be paying a lot more attention to duplicate numbers on future gameday rosters since I guess USC made this change on that roster for the past few weeks but never on their website.
I don't care what the rule says, it's bush league to trick others through these means. Just line up and play football. The program and public website has Huard as #7, so they weren't 100% forthcoming in changing his number.

They got away with it, but I'm sure the NCAA will tighten it up going forward.

Agree....some people love crap like this but I'm not a fan of being intentionally deceptive to pull off a trick play.

Odd game for USC to use it in. Seems like you would save a trick play like this for a more desperate situation and not in a game where you are a pretty heavy favorite and end up winning by 21.

Yep, the type of thing championed by those who think the mantra "If you ain't cheatin' you ain't tryin'" is a phrase to live by
