I never used the word "great". Not once.

I just wondered why someone would follow a team that is, quote: "mediocre, aka terrible". (Your words, not mine).

The Big Ten is insanity. Northwestern going toe to toe with OSU. Rutgers beating Michigan in the 2nd half. Bonkers.
 

Just got out of the woods from deer hunting. How in the flying hell did Sparty beat the Illini? Awesome!

Then I come back to see Rutgers beating Michigan. WTH is going on?

I find myself wondering when the English language that I grew up with changed, though.

When did the word "mediocre" become a synonym for "terrible"?

Agree
Case for 2 SEC teams in playoff really bad if Georgia doesn’t win the sec.
Because Georgia has a case for top 4 if not a conference champ.
All these other teams just seem similar to everyone else. Good with a bunch of holes
 

Clemson is going to lose. 21-0 Notre Dame and Clemson hasn't moved the ball all night. #4 is going down...

A team with a terrible offense who can’t make plays can win college football games.
It’s the context of how you use the words.

They aren’t terrible if you compare them to college football teams.
They are terrible if you compare them to an objective standard of good.

Kind of sorry I didn't watch any of the Rutgers game, figured it would be huge blowout...
