This probably doesn't deserve its own thread but here goes. The way too early weather forecast on accuweather calls for a high of 73 degrees, and partly sunny on 8/28. I'd love that. I don't get to every one of the home openers but am planning to be there for this one. Those conditions would be perfect.

Cue the weather police telling me that forecasts are useless until 4-5 days before the game. I know. But it's still fun to speculate.

Where did you even find a forecast that’s that many days out

I usually don’t see more than 14 day forecasts

Like your style Crosby. Can never be too early speculating about gameday weather. This was Plato's favorite topic.

Even more pressing, did anyone switch from sunny side to shady side or vice versa in the off season?

Billds will be tanning in November on the sunny side once again.

Hopefully not in a speedo.

It’s the one game a year I usually drink more than 1 or 2 before. Just works out with life.

Is the weather usually an issue for openers?

Sometimes it's a steam bath, sometimes it's even slightly chilly. I think last year they had to delay the start of the game due to thunderstorms.

Had some hot ones but most turn out pretty good. Seemed like the TCF Bank Stadium opener against Air Force was perfect. Looked it up...around 80 at kickoff for a Thursday night game.

Belinda quit calling into Barreiro’s show. I recall she did not enjoy being asked if she had a cold front.

That game was on a Saturday. They'd already played at Syracuse week 1. They hadn't made the move to the Thursday opener yet.

Sunny side rules!

This is my go to site for Plato references.

If it's a bright but chilly day when Sconnie comes to TCF on November 29, the KSTP weather bit should have the "feels like" temp on the sunny side and shady side spice things up.

Hopefully our chili stays hot to that point in the game no matter the air temp, with Fickell fired the next day for dessert. Ski U Mah!

Sorry but weather forecasts are useless until the day of the game. Ever been to MN?

I believe this is inscribed at the Lake of the Woods arch...

I always liked Plato’s homage to The Bitter End Club:

“When attending a Gopher Game, the first and greatest victory is to stay until the end; to not stay until the end is of all things most shameful and vile.” – Plato
