What you got?

I went C+, as the Varland’s trade knocked it down from a B- for me. I also was too burnt to do any kind of research on whst that traded netted.

Bradley could bump this up to a B, if he develops into a frontline starter.

Time will tell, as it always does😀

Underachieving team 6 games out of the wild card with 65 to play has become unwatchable until about 2028

If I have 30 years left on this earth they just took away 10% of my twins games I have left

Cheer up, 2027 probably is not going to happen due to a Lock Out anyway.

Good point

The thing is, I don’t really watch sports for championships…I watch for entertainment

When you tell me going in they’re going to suck…makes it hard to be entertained. I’d rather be disappointed than have no hope

Im not a baseball guy more than complete casual so maybe we got great prospects and in 2027 or 2028 I will realize im currently an idiot

If they maintain Lopez & Ryan, while I don't know that they can compete for a Division or even Wild Card, but that has the makings of a rotation (with their other pieces) that will not completely suck.

If either or both of those guys are sent packing, then yeah...staying ahead of the White Sox even becomes difficult.

Wow, that went dark quickly, though impressive and a bit spooky that you know when your expiration date is

The odd thing is that had they been able to unload Vazquez, along with Correa and all the impending free agents, they'd be receiving praise for those moves. That's easier for people to understand.
Taking four affordable, reliable bullpen arms, all on multi-year deals and selling them off with people assuming that's what future owners would want is baffling. To get rid of Varland with the hope that a couple of guys reach that potential in a low cost option in a couple of years seems counterproductive.

I have to believe a lot of this was directed from the ownership. Otherwise its an extremely bold move by Falvey considering it's likely the benefits of this process will take longer than the time it takes to get a new owner. Falvey has to hope the new owners agree with or are at least willing to give him a few years.

Reusse indicated on SKOR North that indeed Falvey was following marching orders from the Pohlad's. Also reported by Bobby Nightengale.

If the trade deadline had been at 4:45, I'd give it much higher marks. The Jax and Varland deals at the last minute kind of ruined it. If they want to compete in 2026, they're going to have to sink $20-25 million in free agency into the bullpen.

Championships, and the active pursuit of championships, are entertainment.
