Not only is he WAY out of bounds, he doesn’t complete the catch. Watch til the end. This is how dumb these people are.
No and Drake didn't commit grounding, although Geers was wide open in the flat if Drake stays in the pocket

This is the worst officiating game I’ve ever watched. IMO Vegas was in on it.

Sure if you ignore the majority of the shoe being on the ground and 98% of said shoe being out of bounds. Not to mention he never completed the process of a catch because he lost control of the ball when he went to the ground. Laying on top of the ball out of bounds isn't possession.

In all honesty I could respect calls like these a lot more if they gave more info like they do/did in the spring football leagues. I might still see it a different way but if you say, "the toe is down. At the time the toe is down the receiver has possession. We can not determine if the foot is on the ground so the call stands". Probably asking way too much. It just feels like they are checking the scores of other games under the hood or asking who is buying the first round tonight then at the last second they ask over the mic what they should call.

Even if the Big 10 officials say his toe was in, what about the fact part of his shoe is already touching the sideline when he is catching the ball at same time? What about the part where the ball is actually touching the ground as he is completing catch to the ground as the Geers play. Lack of consistency and calling and interpreting the rule sucks. Hard to not feel Gophers were jobbed by this Big 10 crew at times. Even then the official looking right at this play ruled this inbounds and a touchdown how does this get upheld by replay? What is even the point of replaying it if the call is upheld or stands? I felt the same way about the replay on Lindsey's overtime touchdown that was close, where's the explaination,?
It's hard to say what the outcome of next play is when this was so blatantly called likely wrong. I don't want to hear our Gopher players didn't play hard enough or didnt make enough plays when league officials miss this sh!t just because the jersey say's Minnesota just like all the missed holding calls. Seen a lot of egregious missed calls in all levels of football, it's human nature but tonight stood out for mediocrity in officiating. Loser's lament my ass, their is clearly a hierarchy in the Big 10 on officials calls and in Sports in general on who get's calls. Glamor teams get them, and if your the so called ugly one you don't, and it all revolves around money, gambling, popularity and rigged interest or ratings. The hardest part about watching tonight's game was the crap Fox announcers, and the JV cameramen shooting the game for Fox last night. Big contract from Fox and they cannot be bothered to send C team announcers. Robert Griffin III get's paid to analyze football, makes Gus Johnson look like a Hall of Famer for Fox. I figured Oregon was gonna win, most did from the start based on talent and skill, but tonight's officiating really rubbed salt in it, like your Minnesota and you suck so we get to hit you with a paddle. Don't like the pats on head or patronizing about making a bowl games that seemed like pot shots, late either like say something nice about the fat dude in the tattered shirt. To answer the original question, not a touchdown. Villenueva's ref crew is bullocks.
