There is no other valid answer than , yes, it was the right decision.

Yes, not 100% his fault the program is bad, it wasn't great when he took over. NIL money to compete isn't really there in the way it needs to be either. However, I feel like college basketball is a sport where you can have a successful program with less NIL money than you would like. So there's really no excuse for how bad it has been. I could understand if you don't make the Gophers rise to Duke's level but it should not be an issue to regularly be in the tournament.

This is the dumbest post I have read this year.
I mean Gopher Hockey is definitely irrelevant...it's been a whole 2 years since they played in the National Title Game and have won 3 of the past 4 Big Ten Titles. (Tied this year)

If only the basketball team was that irrelevant!

Pitino jr on the fan with Danny b at 5:30. Likely, high road but it might be nice to hear him swing back regarding CBJ calling Richard uninvolved in recruiting.

Yeah, I have no clue why the hockey team has been getting crapped on here. They are currently ranked like #5 in the country and were once again one of the best teams in the Big Ten. They laid an egg in the conference tournament but they will be a high seed in the NCAA tournament.

High subtle humor rating.

Did you listen?

It was Gopher wrestling Coyle made irrelevant not hockey.

No the coach did that...not that wrestling is "relevant" to most of people anyways.
Yeah, wrestling is just barely on the radar for even most hardcore sports fans. But looking up rankings I am a little confused on how we are irrelevant in wresting being ranked 6th.

That said will fully admit to not really following college wrestling at all and my knowledge of it pretty much extends to the fact that Iowa and Minnesota have both seemed to have really good wrestling programs most years.

I would say the poll results are about as definitive as you can get around here. Getting 95% of the board to agree on something confirms it was definitely the right decision.

Parker Fox on the fan this morning stated that the lack of NIL is the reason Ben failed. Nice job fans. Then They ran the iheart concert ad and mocked it which was pretty funny.

I am retracting my rant against Marc Coyle as a stuffed shirt. I now endorse his decision making fully as being both strategic and with foresight. I might add that his choice for coach is acceptable.
