Waddle & Silvy - Gopher Nation Exists in Chicago!

In Chicago this week for work and was listening to Waddle and Silvy in the car. A guy called in and said his kid, "Aaron from Jerusalem" calls in all of the time. Right away, Silvy cuts the guy off and says, "Oh, geez - you're not going to ask about the Minnesota Golden Gophers are you?" Dad laughs and says, "No, I'm a Hoosier", and Silvy responds "Well, don't ask about them either." You could see the eyes rolling as he said it - so annoyed.

I thought it was pretty funny - a Chicago kid seems to be calling in to Chicago's ESPN station to talk Gopher sports.

Brew was right! It is a Gopher Nation!

I live in Chicagoland and work downtown and recently have seen a lot more maroon and gold around town. It is not at the level of the Michigan Schools or (gulp) wisco, but a start!
