Volleyball sweeps #3 Illinois

Gophers won in Champaign in straight sets 25-19, 25-20, 25-15. It's the highest ranked opponent Minnesota has ever beaten as Illinois was #3.

Gophers are 13-8 (6-6) They've played most of their tougher matches already and 4 of their last 6 are at home. Penn State comes in Friday on the BTN. The Nittany Lions just upset #1 Nebraska 3-1.

A great win, unfortunately they lost to Northwestern the night before.

They have been inconsistent this year, but they have some players with talent. This week end with Penn State and OSU at home will be tough, but if the Gophers can win both, we have a good chance to go deep in the NCAA Tourney. We have the regionals at home in any case.
