I do think the vikings rip off things from the gophers. We get a cannon they get a cannon. We have a fight song they dredge up a fight song no heard since like 1962. Male cheerleaders with flags? Check. Mascot? They got two now. A lot of it is pretty common stuff, but you have to wonder why an NFL team tries so hard to add the college football game day staples. I never heard the phrase skoal vikings until like 1999. Personally I think the do feel threatened in some way by competition by the gophers. I'm not sure why since the demographics of the average vikings fan is so different from that of a gopher fan.

Nah, let it run its course. It is the off season and we do need something of unimportance to pick about. I think this thread is humorous.

Because they were football uniforms. Could have put it on off-topic and will think twice next time!
 



So when do the new uni's get officially unveiled? I thought I remember hearing 5pm.
 



I've heard Skoal Vikings all my life. They tried to replace it with back in the 80's. The fans rejected the new song.

They tried again a few years ago with 'Bringing in the Horns' or something like that. It was an epic fail.
