love the tenacity. You tell him, Richie.

He's definitely intense. Not afraid to yell at the refs and his own players.

Will be one of the classic moments of his first season here.

That's an awful call. How do you call a double foul on that?! I'm glad Pitino got T'd for that.

His dad has a reputation for knowing when to get a technical - Richard didn't hurt us at all with that. Made Fran look like a raving lunatic.

25-15 run after the T! Coincidence? I think not.

No doubt. Tubby only had about 2 in 6 years. There are times it's the spark that's needed, but he would never go there.

I don't want to say I loved that someone threw a drink on the floor because someone could get legitimately hurt, but I LOVED that our crowd was angry enough that something like that happened (if that makes sense). We've got to develop the type of home court where we get the type of home court calls that many of our B1G brethren already enjoy. Love the passion from Pitino, but also from the Gopher fans! The first step to being a consistent winner is returning Williams Arena to a really difficult place to get a road win.

A Coach Pitino jacket toss should be a tailgating, halftime, or state fair attraction next season.

We used to have one. It leaked out slowly over the last 15 years. Among the many indirect NCAA penalties. Time to get it back.

I hope Minneapolis/St Paul water cooler talk is dominated by people that were at the game saying how electric it was, and how Gopher basketball is back. I pray that PA and the rest of the goons at KFAN dont piss on it today just to be the contrast. I hope, hope, hope that this doesn't come crashing down if(when?) we lose to Iowa because Iowa is a fantastic team. We are going to have peaks and valleys and I hope the negative nancies in the TC media can keep a level head and not get too high or too low. Something is brewing here, let it brew.

Tubby never figured out that you have to do that in this conference. The squeaky wheel always gets the grease.

Hope last nights atmosphere is here to stay again. It was loud on tv and the announcers commented more than once about the crowd last night. This was a game nobody there wanted to let slip away.

over the last few years have been disappointed in the squads ability to protect home court in the conference season. hopefuuly this is the start of getting back to that.

I still think Williams has a way to go to get back to the old atmosphere, but last night was pretty decent. I think what held the crowd back a little was simply nervousness about the game situation throughout the game, the team never able to build on their lead. They didn't completely let loose. I like to think of where the atmosphere could go if the program gets on a roll and we're playing big, meaningful games.

I just watched the video, and I love how Buggs kind of smirks on the bench as Pitino is going off

I assume the B1G reviews each game's officiating. I thought this crew was pretty bad. The double foul leading to the technical was especially egregious.
