Go Gophers!!
I don't know...there is a lot of nuance to the size of a men's college basketball team. #1 Skilled bigs are not in great supply so they are the most expensive NIL wise...in general. (Obviously, exceptions for the top 5-10 elite level guys, who may or may not be bigs). 2. I think there are number of coaches who prefer quickness, ball handling, ability to run the floor over a stationary non shooting big like Pharrel Payne...many coaches want to play 5 out with a 5 who can can shoot threes. Not every team would recruit Payne or Zach Edey...it's not how they want to play offensively. Back to the basket post ups don't happen for many teams with any frequency....so I thinks it's valid question.Who asked if being undersized was "by design?" What a dumb question.

This. be careful about taking big guys just because they are big. Jack Wilson was big, but a waste. Also recall how Pitino wasted scholarships on "Bigs" like Gaston and Konate.I don't know...there is a lot of nuance to the size of a men's college basketball team. #1 Skilled bigs are not in great supply so they are the most expensive NIL wise...in general. In perfect world you'd like long armed, quick, tall players who can shoot at every position but it's not realistic so you adapt your style of play philosophy.
We have four 6-8" guys, one 6-9", one 6-10" and two 6-7" shooting wings...like many teams nobody is listed as a center. We are undersized compared to Purdue and their philosophy but not compared to many teams. Talented size depth might be a concern making us undersized if the core people are out..
