Today's intensity level, along with a few calls/breaks, will beat both Wisky and Nebraska. tOSU had their hands full today. We are getting there.

did people see how happy Urban Meyer was to beat us? that's respect... he was less emotional after beating a top 10 MSU team last week...
We are very close to having the total package in place.
I thought Mitch had an overall adequate game in relativity. Cannot take the INTs out of the equation BUT he did make many throws today and one INT was due to a high throw that got tipped. I think if you take into account that he is a sophmore QB that was not expected to be a dynamic passer, his performance today showed a nice level of competency with improvement to continue.][/QUOTE
Sorry, but 7 of 19, I believe(?). Blame it on the line, blame it the play calling, blame it on the receivers, whatever - he's had way too many 7-19-like games and he can't continue to do so.
There were a lot of good things about today's game but one thing that really bothered me was all of the big plays that we gave up on third and 5+ yards. OSU was 9 of 13 on third down conversions and seemed to have their way with us. How may times did Barrett take off and convert those third downs or break them for a big play. Our defensive coaches, in my opinion, did a very poor job with the defensive adjustments to try and contain him on third down and it cost them. There were times our tackling was not great either but our inability to hold them on third downs and get off the field killed us.
I can't stand with someone saying this about the d coordinators. Claeys called one hell of a game. Our d was overmatched in speed and size on the o and d line. He knew we had to run0 coverage (no one back ie the safety) because we couldn't contain that speed. Mich at got DESTROYED trying to lay base and Natduzzi got outclassed. Claeys put guys in one on one in position to make plays, at times we made them(Lynn did this numerous times) but we also missed them for big touchdowns (Wilson being a step slow and Thompson gambling). Overall phenomenal gameplan. To cover for our lower teM speed.
That said, we have guys w just as much if not more speed than osu.myrick totally has the jets to blow by osu for example

On 3rd downs for the game, OSU's Barrett ran on 7 of their 13 attempts for runs of 6, 86 (TD), 38, 8, 12, 1, and 6 yards; and attempted 6 passes for 8, 57 (TD), 6, and 22 yards (TD) and had 1 incompletion and was sacked on his last attempt.
Go back and just watch the defensive calls on third down and if that is what you view as calling a hell of a game then you are easily satisfied. As GII says they did not mix it up at all on third down and every time they needed a big play it was like they knew exactly what we were going to do. 9 for 13 come on. As I mentioned there were some good things about the game but Claeys' calls on 3rd down were very predictable and really cost us.
