Value of Season Tickets

One addition - the 2nd game there was an email sent out to all the Gopher alums (but anyone could use it) and it gave out 2 free tickets for the game.

GL, I'm curious what you think the U should do? You've been pretty open that you don't agree with what they are doing. Would you prefer there be 40,000 people there instead of full or near full?

Maybe we should do what the Lutherans do and have a "free will offering!"

Well done Rog. But then some would complain that there wasn't enough red jello with banana slices covered with whipping cream or lime jello with shredded carrots in it topped with Miracle Whip.

There you did it. Now I have to go make me a bowl of Jello and bannanas!

In the early Mason years we didn't have season tickets because it was more cost effective to buy them individually. It was also something that provided for more flexibility. Maybe the group wants 8 people to go one week, but only 2 people to go the next week.

I think individual seats is something we will evaluate next year. I do not think we will go to it next year because of the home schedule and the potential for difficulty getting seats. But if the program continues to be at the bottom of the conference I think in 2014 it would be almost foolish to buy all these season tickets. Granted if you start winning at all it makes sense again.

I like the seats we have and the people around us. I'm keeping mine.
I'm not one who lives and dies over wins and losses, but enjoy the college football experience more than anything else.
The guarantee of having goods seats for each game is worth it to me.

Ecomonic principles apply to Gopher football too.

If the AD keeps selling $10 tickets, they will have to adjust the price downward of season tickets if they want to keep demand where it is.
