Vaccine mandate or proof of negative tests Gopher games

The actions by Minneapolis for proof of vaccination or negative test mandate that go into effect on January 19 for non-ticketed events and January 26 for ticketed events would appear to include Williams Arena. Let's all be watching for news from the U of M as to how this policy will be put into effect for games at the Barn.

The news reports indicate "the requirement would apply to stadiums, movie theaters, bowling alleys, convention centers and other venues that serve food or drink."

The University of Minnesota will have more updates on Friday about this. The University is exempt from following the Minneapolis and St Paul mandates according to news reports.

It would apply to eating venues around the University, however.

I'm vaccinated and boosted and am posting this as a heads up for change in policies to be watching for.

And, here's the U of M policy announced today - goes into effect on January 26. Runs through February 9 but could be extended.

Short take - proof vaccination or negative test within 72 hours required for any indoor event of over 200. Masking requirement stays in effect, as well.
