USA Men's Volleyball vs France LIVE on Volleyballworld.tv

USA defeats France in 5 sets in the first Quarter Final match (25-21, 25-18, 17-25, 24-26, 15-9). Italy and Argentina played in the next QF match with Italy winning 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-14) and advancing to the SF match on July 22 vs Team USA. The other two QF matches are being played today.

France is the defending VNL Champion and Italy the World Champions. The Americans, however, are still chasing their first gold after taking silver in 2019 and 2022 and bronze in 2018.

July 22
8 a.m. Japan vs Poland - Poland advances to the Final 3-1 (19-25, 28-26, 25-17, 25-21)
11 a.m. USA vs Italy - USA also advances to the Final - 3-0 (25-19, 18, 19)
Both matches are available to replay on the volleyballworld.com website with a susbcription.

An unexpected win for Team USA, but most welcomed. I have to add that they played one of their BEST overall matches in all aspects of the game, with their win over Italy. They will have a tough match tomorrow vs. Poland in their home country and with their always supportive energetic fans.

July 23
Final
USA vs. Poland, 11 a.m. PT

The Bronze Medal went to Japan over Italy 3-2 (25-18, 25-23, 17-25, 17-25, 15-9).

Once again, USA fails to win the Gold at the VNL. Poland wins 3-1 (25-23, 24-26, 25-18, 25-18).
