UPDATED (12/6) Barker to Houston will play for former Gopher Tony Levine

I think he'll refuse to go away. Any time he accomplishes something, he will remind everyone of it. Example: his latest Twitter exchanges.

I don't know what he said in his twitter exchanges but Barker is obviously a gutsy kid who stands up for what he believes in and isn't afraid to voice his opinions to other people. I predict he has a great future as a lawyer or politician. After he is done with his football career, of course.

Barker tweeted some garbage about Bo Jackson not needing to practice cause of his greatness.

Gopherhole.com twitter account said that Bo never quit on his team.

Barker said: "O so you think I'm done playing football, huh."

Gopherhole says, "No, just that you quit on your teammates."

Barker goes on to say that Jerry Kill quit on his players at NIU.

That's it in a nutshell.

I wish Gopherhole.com would have said something about Jerry not writing a 4000 word rant, but he seemed to get him pretty riled up regardless.

Barker deleted my post and then blocked me using the reason that I dont have enough twitter followers to be taken seriously.

My post was in reference to him saying Kill is a quitter...I said there is a difference between quitting quietly and politely, and quitting with a 4000 word rant.

He blocked me too. All I did was call him a weird dude.

He blocked me too. I posted some photos of me banging his mom's best friend. She said that I am the best lay in the entire world. I am not saying that's the case, but just telling you what AJ Barker's mom's best friend said.

Anyway, it wouldn't appear as if he was recruited that hard if he took an offer from Houston prior the middle of the month.

I figure he is 21. he made a mistake and tho a leopard can't change his spots...he'll learn from this. for anyone who has been 21, mistakes come easy and often. we are rougher on this kid than the Mason 5ex assault kids.

Thank you!

And apparently half of Gopherhole follows AJ Barker's every word on twitter but a new thread discussing him is out-of-place. I don't get stalking him on twitter. But, hell yes, I want to know where our leading reciever will be playing next year.

Maybe in Houston they have ice that doesn't make your ankle stiff, or acupuncturists in the training room. And training staff that do not get upset with you after you fail to follow their direction. And maybe Tony won't yell at you when you get into arguments with said training staff about your failure to heal in a timely manner because of your aversion to ice. Maybe the whole coaching staff down there just blows smoke up your ar$e 24/7 about how special you are and nobody can do what you do. And maybe his teammates will like to have picnics on the 50 yard line with all the friends of AJ's mom while AJ sits on the sidelines for half the season getting acupuncture, cokes with no ice,and reading notes from his mom about how great he is.

He is a spoiled kid. If you do not follow direction and fail to meet expectations, in his case caring for and healing his ankle, then you can expect to catch the ire of your boss/leader in any walk of life. Good luck with the lack of humility and fiery bridge burning tactic as you move forward in life AJ.

Thank you!

I agree. Oh, these kids and their Twister and Faceplace!

AJ and Kevin Love must be friends, because Love just Barkered the Timberwolves

Former Gopher Walter Bond weighs in:

Bond also shared his thoughts on a third-year football player who quit the Gophers a couple of weeks ago, supposedly because he felt abused: “People have to understand that great college coaches are tough on their players,” he points out. “Clem Haskins was no different — he turned boys into men. I want that for my son.

“Don’t confuse tough love with abuse,” warns Bond. “Jerry Kill [current U of M football coach] is a tough cookie, and Clem Haskins is a tough cookie. Far as I am concerned, that’s who you want to coach your football team.”

Until a judge or another politician yells at him. Then he'll quit.

   But if he runs for Congress against Michelle Bachmann and loses, he will cry abuse, and his mom's best friend will stick up for him.

I think out of 4200 words, or however many it was exactly, I think the section related to "My mom's best friend" is the part that will live on in Gopher Hole immortality. I get a little chuckle every time it is mentioned, and I think I will continue to do so for a long time into the future.

Some may think we are abusing that topic.

What is AJ's mom's best friend turned out to be Lois Feldman. PRICELESS.
