Update on Casey O’Brien from the Shooter

From a blurb about Coach Dan O’Brien:

O’Brien’s son Casey coaches quarterbacks. Casey, 24, the celebrated former Gopher who has courageously fought back from osteosarcoma — a rare bone cancer — has undergone three lung-related surgeries the last four weeks but is cancer free. Casey has had more than 30 overall surgeries.

“The good news is there’s no cancer,” his dad said.

Only complete admiration for Casey. Tough as nails. Can't even imagine having that many surgeries. Him going into the Maryland game is definitely a favorite moment for me.

Glad to hear he is cancer free although hate to hear he is having other health issues. Young man just can't catch a break on the health front.

Ugh. The surgery described was likely to clean up a side affect of radiation therapy. My best friend had similar. The radiation literally cooks some of your guts. Gotta get it out.
