This team has already exceeded my expectations although I will admit my expectations were pretty low. So far better ball movement and shooting than last years team. I am surprised at how well they play together as a team this early in the season. Conference schedule will be tough because of lack of size inside but if they really focus on defense and continue to have good shooting nights they will surprise some teams IMO.

We will have a size deficit in most games but the team had a size deficit against both teams they played in Asheville and still pulled them out.

Maryland was able to finish with a 9-11 conference record last season with a four guard lineup featuring only one starter over 6'6" (6'7" Donta Scott). Now, they were all tall and athletic guards.

I’m impressed with how many guys on this team can take it to the rim. Last year we basically had one guy that could beat you off the dribble and score.
For me, this is because Ben's team (so far) has a much better understanding of spacing than Pitino's teams.

When you have proper spacing and ball movement, you can do things like get to the rim and shoot in rhythm. The amount of dribbling done in Pitino's system was so problematic. The only time someone could penetrate is if they were good enough to take someone one-on-one (see Marcus Carr/Amir), but the defenses were always settled. We are making defenses defend movement and spacing it opens things up.

Impressive choice and quite possibly the most underrated TV show theme song if all time; what a glorious time that was when all shoes had them/spent mine on them😊
Thought it fit a bit better than "5-0 Ways to Leave Your Lover"...

... let the party roll one game at a time. Who's next to go down? Well, on Nov 30th it's gonna be "The Pitts"

Well....Pittsburgh looks like a very winnable game. Probably will even be favored. Mississippi State....who knows. Then things start getting tough.

Preach! Lots of gems from back then. Mannix was pretty good, Rockford Files theme song was great. Mod Squad is still my favorite theme song.

There was a count in one of the threads of the nation's undefeated. How many undefeated left in the country?

I'm absolutely thrilled with the 6-0 start. That's about 6 more wins than I had expected. regardless of what happens going forward, and it could get pretty ugly, I think Ben Johnson has proven that he can coach and pick talent. That should help in recruiting.

And then there were two -- just the Gophs and the Boilers left undefeated in the B1G. Break out some smooth rhythms, we're still on top, still undefeated, and still on the roll.
