Our detailed analysis of court records shows that nearly 20 percent of UNC's 101-player roster has been cited for speeding since last October. This translates to 31 speeding charges and 10 reckless driving counts, with a significant portion attributed to athletes recruited under coach Bill Belichick.

Who do they think they are? Georgia?

4-6 (2-4) with wins against 1-9 Charlotte, 6-5 FCS Richmond, 3-7 Syracuse (who was playing a walk on lacrosse player at QB) and 3-7 Standford. Games against Duke and NC State left.

don't really see how they don't mutually decide to part ways this offseason. it's pretty clear he has no idea what he's doing at the NCAA level and is comical they paid him 10million/year for this (pretty good deal if you can get it to make over 2million/win)

what, no year zero?

He took over a program in signficant decline. Of all the coaches in the world that should get a little grace in the first season, Nick Saban is number 1. Belicheck is in the top 10. Because of his lack of college experience, next year better be a big step forward, or then I get it.

Honestly in this case it really has very little to do with on the field results. This has clearly been a bad fit for both UNC and Belichick.

Not sure if it will drag out for a few years but feels like both the school and the coach are looking for a good off ramp to what is not a good situation for either party.

They're paying their football general manager, Lombardi, $1.5m a year ... and he appears to be doing a bad job. Recruit's agents and recruits have talked about him being dismissive towards recruits, coaches not engaged, and just assuming everyone will run to UNC to play for them.

I'm not sure that whole thing is fit as ... they bad at college football.

I think they saw Colorado and thought Belichick would have a similar draw to Deion and that has not been the case at all.

Bill Belichick at 73, with his personality, coaching college football made no sense and has very unsurprisingly been a cluster since he arrived.

Bill was able to do what he did in the NFL because he had the GOAT at QB and was working with professional athletes who are wired very differently then college players, especially in this current era.

6 straight bowl games at a school that's just like MN with the large shunting of their efforts to MBB with that last year being post Drake Maye where they lost their starting QB to start the year. Is interesting they tanked the last 2 years before that down the stretch while they had Maye, but that program being in decline doesn't feel quite right imo.

BB's 73 and never coached nor recruited at the college level. They've claimed they're going to make it like the "33rd NFL team" and that just has not remotely transpired. I just don't see it at the college level for him where so much of what you're doing is also motivating players and keeping them in line as well as having to go out and recruit and keep players happy.

Just doesn't seem to fit in the college game and I'd be 0% surprised to see him take an NFL offer if given, though he may also just ride it out at UNC as 10mil/year is a pretty nice gig.

this. you landed a bunch of win at all costs and do what it takes to win players that you could place under contract and would lock in to win. College is just a very different ball game
