UNC has a new defensive coordinator, Geoff Collins ... the former head coach of Georgia Tech, … (deleted a mistake here). He's apparently bringing in a chaos-type defense, everything disguised, blitzing from all over. What Nebraska plays. Can really throw a shaky offense off kilter. But for a disciplined offense that can withstand the first few seconds of shock and awe, there are usually some real holes to go after. Go Gophers.

Geoff Collins did not coach in the Gophers-Georgia Tech bowl game.

He had been named as the next coach by then but you are correct, he did not coach in the bowl game.

Collins was awful as GT HC but looks like he had been a very good DC prior to head coaching.

If my memory serves me correctly, Geoff Collins was at the Minnesota-Georgia Tech bowl game as a spectator. I remember the tv crew interviewing him after the game.

Sounds like this guy who was DC at the U of South Carolina when I was a student there. When the defense worked, it worked, but when it didn't there were people running free all over the place. If we stay disciplined on offense we will likely break some long ones. Go Gophers! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Lee_Dunn

Whatever happens in that UNC game for the Gophers ... IMO it likely won't be about UNC.

Gophers start slow-ish as a group every year. If they can't do something different they'll take an L.

First and foremost this game will be about the Gophers getting their ducks in a row.
