For sure. The Vikings especially suck on Prime Time TV under the big lights. (and it's not just a Kirk Cousins thing)Something about MN teams and brighter lights more than type of TV.
Does it have to do with the quality of opponent when on network tv?Gophers 0-3 on network TV
4-0 on non network TV (cable or peacock).
both cupcakes were on cable/streamingDoes it have to do with the quality of opponent when on network tv?
The gophers have played two schools I would consider helmet schools this yearNetwork TV wants and get the "best" games.
the Gophers are not a helmet school. If the Gophers are on network TV, it's generally because they are playing a helmet school. So, when the Gophers are on network TV, they are typically going to be the underdog.
the exception is a rivalry or trophy game like MN vs IA or WI. that is something the Networks can promote.
I am sure they would take Iowa/wiskyI saw a tweet that says NBC's two options for next week's Sat. night games are either Iowa/Wisconsin or Gophers/Illinois.
They would’ve taken Illinois vs Minnesota if Minnesota had beaten Oregon, but that was about the only way.I am sure they would take Iowa/wisky
