Tubby says Bryant Allen has potential, is as quick and athletic as anyone on team

Tubby would have to be a massive dick to give Bryant a basketball scholarship.

If a player wishes to play both sports as scholarship athlete, he must be on football scholarship.

Examples include Julius Peppers and Ronald Curry at UNC.

We're talking about a scenario where Allen gives up football.

If the kid prefers basketball and Tubby feels he could contribute he wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't offer one. If one was available I would think he would have to leave it up to Allen. Kind of hard to believe anyone would choose football over basketball. Football games are great but you have to practice 5 times a week.

<b>"baller's"</b> expert opinion aside (run-and-gun, up-and-down the court Bryant Allen, Rodney, Paul Carter, Usian Bolt, yee-ha!!!), what makes you think he is deserving of a high-major D1 basketball scholarship? Those 11 minutes he's played this year have you convinced? Did he have any offers?

As you may or may not know, BA clocked a 40 in 4.30 seconds. If he can make some big plays returning punts or catching passes, that kind of speed will be his ticket to the NFL.

I'd be willing to bet a large sum of money he never plays one down in the NFL. Sorry try again.

4.30 is world class speed. If he ran that at the this year's combine it would have been second fastest out of every participant. It's definitely an eye opener for NFL scouts. Why do you think Heyward-Bey was drafted so high? Speed is something that can't be tought.

Spoiler alert: There are faster players with more football skill then our boy Bryant Allen.

The guy has 3 more years of College football left, why don't we hold off on grading him just yet.
Ted Ginn was drafted really high and he can't catch worth crap.

One thing that bothers me about BA's shot is that his off elbow stick so far out that it affects the rotation of the ball on his shot.

Also, he release point is very low, and considering how short he is, he's going to struggle to get it off against good defensive players.
