I bet that it will not be a frosh TE that makes a difference simply due to our roster. I've seen this on other team's rosters too - why do we have 9 TE's listed, when only one can play at a time, and only 20 OL guys, five of whom play every play? Why are we so loaded with TE's? Are a lot of them Walk-ons? They are big guys, so IMHO some of them should be switched to O or DL. Hell, among those switched to DL we might even find a pass-rusher. Have you not watched much Gopher football in the Fleck era? They use a ton of jumbo sets with extra OL and TE's. Literally 9 of the 11 players in the formation pictured from the Wisconsin game last year are TE's or OL.
