Defensive back Bishop McDonald (RS-Jr.) sat out last season as a transfer from UMD. Interesting to see if he contributes next year. Put up some good numbers at Duluth. Was a finalist for Mr. Football at North St. Paul after picking off 12 passes senior year.

PRIOR TO MINNESOTA: Played in 23 games at Minnesota Duluth and made 78 tackles, defended 16 passes, made three interceptions, forced two fumbles, recovered one fumble and blocked one kick • in 2017, played in 12 games and made 47 tackles (32 solo), defended nine passes and returned one of his two interceptions 30 yards for a touchdown • in 2016, played in 11 games and made 31 tackles (20 solo) and defended seven passes.

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-year starter at defensive back and running back at North St. Paul High School • led all Minnesota preps with 12 interceptions in 2015 and was a finalist for Minnesota Mr. Football • captained the Polars to the Minnesota Section 4 AAAAA title as a senior and was named First Team Associated Press All-State, Minnesota Vikings High School All-State, First Team All-USA Minnesota Football, North Star News All-State and All-Metro East Conference • coached by Eric Longtin • also lettered in track.

Sounds like a play maker. Cool, that he's here. Go Gophers!
