I like Jordan Ode as well; but, I also am not sure if she fits a need (unless we have another open spot open up) if so I think she gets Gophers attention.
She red-shirted for MSU so has four years to develop under Coach P. (She might have been injured part of the year) Something to monitor.

Agree, that we need full story on some of these players.

The vulture that I am suggests that their chaos helps our regional recruiting. No sympathy for the Cyclones. They proved on the men’s side that it can get turned around in a hurry though.

Ya it all comes down to who leaves in the portal. Does Christian or Klick hit the portal? Personally I don’t see it but we’ll see.

And even though Ode might not have huge minutes available next year, in two years with Braun and Grace graduating a ton of minutes are there for the taking. So it will be interesting what Ode values.

*also it shows where we are at as a program that Ms Basketball “might not have a spot”

I thought I saw a post somewhere that klick is dating a football player, so not sure if she would leave 🤷🏼‍♂️ I hope Christian sticks it out. You’re right there will be lots of minutes in two years. Maybe they focus on Ode and do a share approach with PG. Nice to be in this position; but, I am also not going to get too excited until we know who leaves for the portal. It’s a crazy time with NIL.
Maybe Holloway heads to St Thomas for playing time for her last year?

Coach P recruiter her, so there a relationship there. She has two years left, could help "bridge" us over until Zoey & Kuol develop. Personally, I think she let her intentions be known early because she wants to play here.
Couldn't understand why Zoey wasn't red-shirted... she missed the first seven games... critical games for her development. Perhaps someone can explain... added post depth?
 



I just do not see anyone entering. I agree with all the “possibilities” but I just don’t see it happening. I think Christian sees playing time opening up. Last year at this time Johnson wasn’t getting playing time and they were adding Braun back. Her sophomore didn’t look too promising. I think Zoey sees time too. I obviously hope to pick up a big in the portal, but I am not worried about the portal. I think there will be kids that see an opportunity in Minnesota. I don’t think the coaches will have to work near has hard as other years this off season. I could be wrong, but if I’m 6’4+ and am a starter…..Minnesota is a great pick. Great fans, Coaches and current roster.
 

Charlie Creme from Bracketology agrees with many of you. He says Gophers need to get an inside threat / tall center and a true shooting point guard in portal.

Nebraska will be much improved next year. With Potts back and incoming freshman class I expect them to be back in the conversation
 



Either one of Sotelo or Rambus would be an amazing get for us, especially if they would be willing to play off the bench as a backup center!

tbh our starting post position is open as of now. we have Taylor but I'm not sure she will be ready by the start of the season.

she is also my pick so far. I want a “Sophie” kind of battler down there. I think that fits Minnys system the best.

... she hasn't played or practiced much for 2 years. I took two years away from partnership dancing, it took awhile to get back what I had.
 


Anyone see Maya Nnaji post that she is "so back" while on a basketball court? Long time lurker, first time poster here coming to you from Tucson, Arizona where Maya played a year and then quit to focus on her studies (doctor I believe?). Gophers....?

She enrolled in the accelerated medical school program after leaving the team in 2023.

Of the Purdue games I watched, I was not impressed with her defense. I am just worried she may not fit based on that, but obviously Coach P will know better.

I also said one of the two would be a great backup center. Why not dream of adding an experienced backup too? Sotelo definitely learned elite defense at Michigan State.

Is Sotelo really a center? She started 20 games alongside VanSlooten, who was the main low box player.

That would be a legit game changer.
 

I cant remember when the portal officially opens; just know its sometime close to the championship game. I am assuiming that is when we can expect to see some visits? I wonder how quickly Coach P moves and who she has in mind for contacting.
