I think he was referring to ball handling under pressure, not shooting. I agree Tori and Braun are only average against pressure. GG is a stronger ball handler.
Texas is loaded, yet Crump, as a freshman, was part of their rotation and even started five games. She averaged 8.5 points per game. So while it would be great if she transferred back to the U, I doubt if she'd consider it, plus, could we afford her?

Seems more realistic to simply be thankful that all the attention Crump got meant her teammate Tori McKinney flew under the radar enough for the Gophers to get her.

You said Coach P recruited to a certain culture. Many of her players who play weren’t recruited by her, nor may even have ever have been recruited by her. I simply pointed out that Whalen should get some credit for signing players who have been vital to creating that culture.

Agreed. However there was no portal! We couldn’t just get transfers, they had to sit out a year when they got here. Some coaches build new teams every year. However I do think something is definitely up in Ames.
