Coach P is a defensice coach, you don't think she could improve her? You would pass up her 28 ppg and her touch around the rim? She immediatley opens the floor for shooters.
 

These are young women. Are we sure that they aren't willing to be coached and develop further? It is possible their current coaches didn't have what it takes to help them improve so they shrugged and focused on what they could already do well. Maybe after a conversation with Dawn they buy into her philosophies and agree to listen to her and improve aspects of their game to both make them better players and help the team get farther into the tourney.
 

Totally agree. I've seen many stories during the tournament of players who spend the off season working on conditioning, endurance and learning a new system. You have to look at potential too.

No, she can't. It's mostly about conditioning and quickness. Coach P cannot fix that.

It'll take a lifestyle change for both, and they have 6 months to change.

Even if they change, their level of defense is so bad that they cannot possibly become slightly below average in that time. Sophie Hart looks like Olajuwon on defense compared to those 2.

Don't remember her name without looking it up but Iowa already has a center that is better than her overall I think. And she can run the floor. UCLA has Bett's little sister.

I keep seeing people in sports news articles say "Iowa". Not sure what these guys and gals are dropping in their morning coffee (it's gotta be more than cream and sugar). Iowa has an All-Big Ten post and a good backup at center. They have no need and should have zero interest in Crooks.

I don't think she makes sense with Iowa's system for other reasons, but Iowa does like to play with two powerful bigs in the game at once. So I get why people think along those lines. 🤷‍♂️
 

I like Crooks but she is a huge defensive liability. Can she fit into an offense where everybody touches the ball? This team could again be special with the right portal additions.
 



on3 mentions Crooks could go to Oklahoma or Iowa. they also mentioned she could go pro if there are no takers. they said she would probably want north of $500,000 nil

Grocholski and Kussow are (will) better than Braun. It's nice that we now have a coach that is grounded in reality and knows how to coach and the Minnesota first delusional mentality is gone. It's a big reason why they win and fill the barn. Take the Wisconsin lead on winning and just say Thank You.

Interesting. ISU shot 150 more 3’s as a team than the Gophers so the ball had to be moving around the perimeter… Crooks shots 65% from the floor that seems like a solid combination…Crooks took 493 shots the team alone 715 3’s… 493 shots at 65% pretty good.. Battle herself took 366 shots and Braun 346 so the Gophers had issues with the ball sticking and no movement… drop 30 and let’s play.. nothing wrong with a go to option…

I’m on the pessimistic side, but that’s my disposition. When I see stats like that I immediately think she’s taking shots away from others, but it’s hard to argue with 62% from the floor.

In theory, if we never turn the ball over and let her take every shot, we'll be unbeatable. 😉
 

If my math is correct… Crooks took 25% of her teams total shots but she had 36% of the teams total makes… pretty damn good.. hence All American
