Tournament Ticket Sales

It appears that tickets have been going fast and the barn will be near capacity. I can’t find good seats anywhere. This seems to be a really good sign for the program.
They are cheap tickets. Should be full for these games.

just looked... and

looks like the only lower seats left are in the corner by the visitors bench..

and plenty of upper deck open

Will be interesting to see if the Gophers can be top 2-3 of the 16 sites in attendance. Would not be that surprising. Attendance juggernaut South Carolina usually has somewhat less than normal attendance for the first 2 rounds because their fans just assume it's a cakewalk to the regional.

Attendance was 12357 for game against UCLA in 2004... Whalen's return.

Attendance was 13425 for 2nd round game against #2 seed K-State. Deb Patterson was using a white board to call plays... she later commented it was the loudest crowd she had ever coached in front of.

... as an aside, the #7 seeded 2004 Gophers are the only team to defeat the #2, #3, and #1 seeded teams in their region. I am sure many on this forum watched all 3 games in-person.
went to Norfolk to watch us beat Duke.. still ONE of the best basketball games I have been to in person!

UCLA/K-State games were so LOUD..

I REMEMBER CLEARLY .. Whay hitting a 3.. then holding up her hand.. people thought it was her showing that her hand was okay.. when in reality she was just calling out the DEFENSE "5"

I'm thinking about coming to the game on Sunday if the Gophs win on Friday. But I can't find any info on game time. I just see "TBD". How can that be? Seems like we should know what time the game is regardless of who will be playing. Anybody know?

I suspect it all driven by TV and who wins Friday games around the country. I'd still think it is mid-afternoon start, but we'll find out.

that's how the tournament works.. ESPN decides once matchups are made.. i'm sure we will know by Saturday morning.

Actually I did, Norfolk was a very fun but tiring trip. It rained a lot in Norfolk VA the whole time we were there. Duke had three times as many fans but Gophers fans were louder. Still have my game tickets.

went on the Charter the day trip! it was such a blast!!

might throw the game on my dvd player tomorrow!

It's fun to reminisce... to watch the dvd's, hold the game tickets, remember the old hotel the Erban's had rented, dig out the old newspapers... but, that was then and today is today...

Beat Green Bay!!!!
Go Gophers!!!
Agreed, time to make some great memories. This has been such a fun season, don't want it to end any time soon. Hoping to have a surprise trip to Sacremento.

I see all these "experts" completing their brackets and they all seem to have Ole Miss beating the Gophers. Lets get that Barn rockin!!
If we beat GB, which I think we will, the match up with Ole Miss will be a challenge. We will have 2 keep our winning formula of low TO’s and balanced scoring to win.

Charli Creme predicts Minnesota with a 69-67 win. My anxiety would enjoy a larger cushion, but I think it would be an exciting matchup!

Minnesota: When Tori McKinney scores even five points, the Gophers are 20-3 with an average scoring margin of +23.65. When McKinney either doesn’t play or scores fewer than five points, Minnesota is just 2-5 with a -4.9 average point differential.
This is from Her Hoop Stats. The author did 68 facts for the 68 NCAA team. This one for Minnesota is quite interesting.

I have a feeling we're going to have all we can handle with GB but my blood pressure would certainly appreciate a 15 point win.
Yeah, I wouldn't be shocked if both games are close on Friday.

We lost at Washington by more than GB did. 4-13 and 5-12 look like some really good games to see. Friday looks like it will be sold out.

We’re favored 22.5 so hope we can make the fans and bettors happy!

Ole Miss favored 15.5 over Gonzaga.

Whoa...22.5 seems like a ton of points. Vegas doesn't like giving away their money so I feel good about that large spread.
